Visiting Urban Explorer #1

Those who look at a city with fresh eyes often notice what its residents no longer see. It is in this spirit that we welcome Éléonore Simon, a Parisian photographer and writer and the first Visiting Urban Explorer for Utopian Hours 2026, onto the stage.

Trained in France, New York and Chile — where she spent five years photographing Valparaíso — Simon contributes to magazines such as revue EPIC and Process Magazine and is a member of UP Photographers and Les Filles de la Photo. In Turin, she shares the images and insights she has gathered whilst freely exploring the city: a perspective that offers city planners and designers concrete ideas for rethinking public space from a fresh angle.
