Panel: Urban Regeneration & Social Impact
16:15 - 17:00
La Centrale, Nuvola Lavazza
with Jan Kattein (JKA), Alessandra Bianco (Lavazza), Cristiana Fragola (CBRE), Francesca Molteni (curator, director & author)
Saturday at Utopian Hours 2025 offers a panel discussion that puts people back at the center of urban transformation processes: from listening to co-creation, from measurable impact to shared value.
Jan Kattein, architect and founder of Jan Kattein Architects, brings the vision of Londoners Making London: a city designed with citizens, where micro-interventions, temporary architecture, and community workshops activate spaces and responsibilities, shifting urban planning from top-down to bottom-up.
Alessandra Bianco (Lavazza) explains how a company rooted in the local area can generate culture, networks, and opportunities, while Cristiana Fragola (CBRE) opens up a regeneration project that combines investment, social impact, and quality of place. Joining them is Francesca Molteni, curator, director, and author, with the perspective of someone who transforms cities through storytelling: narratives that bring out desires, memories, and new imaginaries.
A conversation to imagine more just and vibrant cities: where participation becomes a project, public-private partnerships create collective value, and culture makes change visible.
