Visiting Urban Explorer #2
14:30 - 14:45
La Centrale, Nuvola Lavazza
Photographer Ana Amado arrives in Turin to take part in the original urban exploration program created by Stratosferica for the first editions of the festival. Four days discovering the city without guides or advice, visiting it independently and uncovering its identity. On the fifth day, she takes to the festival stage to share her ideas for a better city.
Born in Ferrol (A Coruña), she is a photographer, architect and visual artist. She has a Master's Degree in Photography from the Lens School of Visual Arts (Madrid), a Master's Degree in Contemporary Art, Museology and Criticism from the USC (Santiago de Compostela), a Postgraduate Degree in Creative Illustration from the EINA School (Barcelona), and is an architect from the ETSAC of Architecture (University of A Coruña).
She currently combines her work as a free-lance specialized in architectural photography with teaching photography in art schools in Madrid, Hamilton College and universities such as Alcalá de Henares, Málaga, URJC and ETSAM in Madrid, or Tokai University in Tokyo.
The axes of his recent work are the analysis of the role of photography as a creator of icons and identities and architecture as a contextual framework for projects of social content, where marginal or insufficiently visible realities are given prominence.
