A mapping workshop to discover an important part of Turin

Charlie Peel, founder of Urban Good and a guest at Utopian Hours in 2017, is the creator of the London National Park City map, which reimagines London by highlighting parks, woods, playgrounds, nature reserves, urban farms, rivers, canals, and more.

We asked Charlie, a London-based urban planner and graphic designer, to return to the festival to help us map the urban nature of the Aurora neighborhood–and to do it together during a workshop!

After an initial briefing and site visit on Friday, during the four-hour workshop on Saturday we will analyze where nature is already present and where it could potentially emerge within the neighborhood along the Dora River, mapping not only trees and parks but also desires and proposals.

No specific skills are required to participate in the workshop: whether you are a professional, a student, or simply a curious citizen, your involvement matters. Together, we will create a new map of an important part of the city which is an invaluable tool both for residents and for those who manage the neighborhood. Join the creative cartography workshop!
