Victor Moreno is an unconventional documentary filmmaker who explores urban realities from a lateral and visionary perspective. With a background in Film and Philosophy, his work challenges our perception of the built environment. In his Goya-nominated Edificio España (2012), he used a skyscraper as a powerful metaphor to recount a national crisis. In the Feroz Award-winning The Hidden City (2018), he took his camera underground, exploring the hidden labyrinth of tunnels and sewers that sustain our metropolises — a vital yet often ignored skeleton of the modern city.Moreno’s films and video installations have been showcased at over 100 international festivals and in iconic venues like the Lincoln Center, Centre Pompidou, Barbican Centre, and Reina Sofia Museum. Through his lens, he forces us to rethink our urban spaces and question how well we truly know the cities we inhabit.
