From Paris to Milan: the city through the eye of Plateau Urbain
Utopian Hours / Milan Edition could not miss the Visiting Urban Explorer format. A young international pacemaker, three days at disposal, an entire city to discover with the aim of proposing new solutions for the most undervalued places.
Visiting Urban Explorer is an original format born with Utopian Hours. Inspired by art residencies, it is a program of urban discovery and imagination, involving makers, authors, specialists or professionals active on urban issues.
Each VUE (that’s the acronym) is tasked with visiting the city autonomously, without suggestions or directions, trying to discover lesser-known places or those that deserve more attention. Once on stage, the urban explorers tell their visions and proposals: simple impressions of the spirit of the place or real strategic directions for development.
For the first Milanese edition of the festival, Stratosferica invites Angèle de Lamberterie, the Director of Development of Plateau Urbaine, a Parisian agency that since 2013 has been reactivating unused properties by converting them into spaces for work, culture and creativity. A perfect city maker to discover and reveal the potential of a lesser-known Milan.
