Architect, urban strategist and placemaking expert. Petra Marko is co-founder of Marko&Placemakers, a consulting and city design agency. In her current role as Chief Executive of the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava she leads a multidisciplinary team spearheading strategic approach to public spaces, urban planning and participatory placemaking.
Active mainly in London, Marko has over 15 years of experience in the field of placemaking. Her mission is to build new identities and functions for the places in cities that need them most. Utopian Hours 2023 questions the future of city making and tackles some of the most complex issues in the urban sphere, looking for new stimuli to generate diversity, efficiency and creativity — wherever there is a citizen.
