Robert Hammond

Co-Founder & Executive Director of Friends of the High Line

Not only did he start the group that transformed an abandoned elevated railway in the heart of Manhattan into a public park, but Robert Hammond has also been an advisor for numerous entrepreneurial projects and non-profits. Amongst them, Times Square Alliance, Alliance for the Arts e National Cooperative Bank (NCB). 

Between 2002 and 2005 he was Trustee Ex-officio of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 2009 he was honoured with the Roma Prize by the American Academy of Rome.
