Willi Dorner

Dancer, choreographer and director

Born in 1959 in Baden, Austria, Willi Dorner is a dancer and choreographer who’s studied in Vienna, New York and Paris.

He started choreographing his productions in 1990 and, as well as his international dancing tour performances, has been involved in the making of movies.

More recently, Dorner has focused his attention on the creation of site-specific events that give the audience an opportunity to live new experiences and engage with new perspectives on everyday life. Amongst them, Bodies in Urban Spaces has risen to international acclaim starting from 2007, reaching 90 cities all over the world. Willi Dorner’s creations and theatrical performances have been presented in Europe, Africa, North and South America and China, and he also directed the short films TREID (1999), mazy (2003), body trail / >> fleeting (2009), set in motion (2012) and every-one (2015).
