OPENACT discovers Turin
Among this year’s Visiting Urban Explorer one of the New European Bauhaus’ finalists 2023. From Madrid, the fresh and attentive gaze of OPENACT’s co-founder.
Each year Utopian Hours welcomes three young experts from all over the world by issuing a challenge: discovering in three days and in absolute freedom the hidden potential of our city. At the end of the exploration we ask them to take the stage at Centrale Lavazza to share with the public ideas and proposals that could improve the perception of Turin by enhancing the urban elements that distinguish it.
How will Zuhal Kol approach the task? Kol is founding partner of OPENACT, a Madrid-based design studio that is emerging as one of the most interesting at an international level. Their work is focused on research and experimentation and in the past years the studio has developed a reflection on the relationship between public space, infrastructure, and the natural environment.
We look forward to discovering his recommendations for a Turin at its best!
