The bold vision of Meg Daly, founder of Friends of the Underline, comes from an accident. Due to a broken arm Daly cannot drive to the clinic where she receives therapy. She decides to start getting around by walking under the Miami Metrorail. 

It is the start of a project that has transformed a vast abandoned area under elevated tracks into a linear park. Today, The Underline is one of the best international examples of reuse and improvement of public space.
