Regenerative Placemaking

A panel to explore Future of Cities’ “Regenerative Placemaking Framework”
Future of Cities (FOC) is a new global platform developing a “Regenerative Placemaking Framework” – one that will be open-sourced for urban developers and regenerative practitioners to utilize as a playbook and guide to implementing a set of key principles, strategies, community-based approaches, circular economy pillars that are directed by the area’s local conditions and environment.
The Regenerative Placemaking approach is rooted in three main pillars of: Community, Nature, and Culture – as the core and starting point to development. FOC projects have been engaging communities, ecosystems and cultural heritage across Florida and in partnership with organizations around the world.
This panel will shed light into this framework, while hearing from community leaders highlighting concrete examples of the FOC team doing place-making in their local communities of Little Haiti, Miami, Jacksonville, and in the global context of ecological and social challenges facing the planet and cities.
